Selection Process

The UPSC EPFO 2025 selection process for Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer (EO/AO) and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) consists of three main stages:

  • Written Test (Recruitment Test - RT)
  • Interview (Personality Test)
  • Document Verification
  • Final Merit: Based on combined performance in Written Test (75%) and Interview (25%), subject to successful document verification.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the UPSC EPFO 2025 exam (Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer (EO/AO) and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC)) are as follows:

  1. Nationality:
    • Must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee settled in India before January 1, 1962, or a person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries (Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, etc.) with intent to settle permanently in India.
  2. Educational Qualification:
    • Essential: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
    • Desirable (for EO/AO):
      • Degree/Diploma in Law, Management, Company Secretary, Chartered Accountant, Cost & Management Accountant, or equivalent.
      • Two years of experience in Administration/Accounts/Legal matters in a government or reputed organization.
  3. Age Limit:
    • EO/AO: 18 to 30 years as of the closing date of application.
    • APFC: 18 to 35 years as of the closing date of application.
    • Age Relaxation:
      • SC/ST: 5 years
      • OBC: 3 years
      • PwBD: 10 years (13 years for OBC, 15 years for SC/ST)
      • Central Government Employees: Up to 5 years (based on service duration)
      • Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
  4. Physical Standards (for EO/AO, if applicable):
    • Candidates must be physically fit as per the standards set by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation.
  5. Number of Attempts:
    • No limit on attempts, provided candidates meet age and other eligibility criteria.

Syllabus & Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern

  • The test will be of two hours duration
  • All questions will carry equal marks.
  • The test will be objective type questions with multiple choices of answer.
  • The medium of the test will be both English and Hindi.
  • There will be penalty for wrong answers. Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one-third of the marks assigned to that question.
  • If no answer is marked for a question, there will be no penalty for that question.

Syllabus The syllabus of the Test broadly comprises the following topics:-

  • General English- To evaluate candidate’s understanding of English language & workman – like use of words.
  • Indian Culture, Heritage and Freedom Movements.
  • Developmental Issues and Present Trends in Indian Economy.
  • Governance and Constitution of India.
  • General Science and Basic Knowledge of Computer Applications.
  • Elementary Mathematics, Statistics and General Mental Ability.
  • Industrial Relations, Labour Laws and Social Security in India.
  • Principles of Accountancy, Auditing and Insurance.
  • Current Events of National and International Importance.

Admit Card

  • Visit Official Website: Go to www.upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.
  • Navigate to Admit Card Section: Click on “Admit Cards” or “E-Admit Cards for Various Examinations of UPSC.”
  • Select Exam Link: Find and click the link for “Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer and/or Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner, EPFO, 2025.”
  • Log In: Choose “By Registration ID” or “By Roll Number,” then enter your Registration ID/Roll Number, Date of Birth, and Captcha code.
  • Download Admit Card: Click “Submit” to view your admit card, then download and print it.
  • Verify Details: Check your name, exam center, date, and other details on the admit card.
  • Contact Support (if needed): If there’s an issue, email UPSC at [email protected] or call 011-23385176/23098591 (working hours).

Result

  1. Visit the Official UPSC Website: Go to upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.
  2. Navigate to the Results Section: On the homepage, click on the “Examination” tab or look for the “What’s New” section.
  3. Find the EPFO 2025 Result Link: Search for the link titled “UPSC EPFO 2025 Result” or “Final Result: Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer & APFC, EPFO 2025” (available in both English and Hindi).
  4. Open the Result PDF: Click the link to download the result PDF, which will list the names and roll numbers of selected candidates. The PDF is bilingual (English and Hindi).
  5. Search for Your Details: Use your roll number or name to check if you are listed in the merit list.
  6. Download and Save: Download the PDF and save it for future reference. Print a copy if needed.

Note: Ensure you have a PDF reader installed. Results are typically released 3-4 weeks after the written exam and after interviews for the final merit list. Check the UPSC website regularly for updates.

Apply Online

  • Visit UPSC Online Portal: Access upsconline.nic.in.
  • Select EPFO 2025 Application: Click “UPSC EPFO 2025 Recruitment” link.
  • Complete Part-I Registration: Enter personal, educational, and contact details; select exam center and post.
  • Upload Documents: Upload photograph, signature, and photo ID as per guidelines.
  • Pay Application Fee: Pay ₹25 (General/OBC/EWS) online/offline; exempted for SC/ST/PwBD/Female.
  • Complete Part-II Registration: Verify details, choose exam language, and submit.
  • Download Confirmation: Save and print application form and fee receipt.
